File Structure of MBOX:  MBOX file stores user mailbox information in a form of a text file. One benefit user can get by using MBOX file is ease of taking backup. In other email application to take backup user has to take backup of database too but in MBOX file format there is only need to take backup of text file. • Facility to block particular email id is available by using option Block sender list. Feature is absent in Eudora
• In Outlook and Outlook Express user can Set up and create Identities while such feature is absent in Eudora
• Outlook supports HTML in full manner while composing any email. Such kind of feature is absent in Eudora. Eudora supports HTML file format partially.
• Outlook and Outlook Express has easy to use interface as compare to Eudora email application.

Steps to migrate from Eudora to Outlook mail application

To export the mail message from Eudora you need to take the support from Outlook Express. The reason is absence Export feature in Eudora. We can only Import the mail message. So you need to take help of Outlook Express to import the mailbox.  The mail message can directly export to Outlook\Exchange Outlook XP, 2013, 2010 or prior version from Eudora. To import you need Outlook express you can follow these simple steps to convert the mail messages to Outlook.

Steps to convert MBOX file format to PST file format

•  Open Outlook Express
•  Select File from the menu bar
•  Select Import -> Messages...
•  Select Eudora Pro or Light (through 3.0)
•  Click Next
•  In the following dialog box, click the Browse... button and navigate to the root Eudora folder (Example: C:\Eudora, C:\Program Files\Eudora, etc.)     Click Next
•  In the following dialog box, either select which folders you want to import or select All Folders.
•  Click Next
•  Once all of the mail messages have been imported into Outlook Express, Click on File
• Click on Export -> Messages...Outlook Express will notify you that the messages will be exported to Outlook or Exchange. Click Yes
•  Once all mail messages have been exported to the installed Outlook Client, you may need to move the messages from Personal Folders to the Exchange mailbox to allow them to show up on the server.


Imp NOTE: Once the messages have been imported to Outlook, you may need to archive them into a PST file in order to add Read\Write abilities over the e-mails.

Direct Method:
