NOTE: Not to confuse yourself with MS-Outlook2011, Outlook for Mac and Mac –Outlook. All these are name of same application.

MAC-OUTLOOK2011 INTRODUCTION

MAC-Outlook is basically a PC based email application that helps user to manage mailbox including their journals, tasks, calendars and home messages. Comparing to all layers of mac application Mac Outlook is a cocoa application and consider as modern version of outlook for MAC systems. Like other email applications has their own default file format in the same way MAC Outlook also has its own file format to store information. File format supported by MAC-Outlook is OLM. Here is brief introduction of OLM files

OLM Files: OLM files are default files for MS-Outlook2011 and expanded as Mac Outlook Database file. These files stores all data of MAC like Outlook folders, Calendars, Attachments, Tasks, Notes, journals and other mail boxes.

MS-Outlook Introduction: MS-Outlook is also PC based Email application designed to work on Windows Operating system. MS-Outlook is designed with features like Social media connectivity, attachment reminders and many more. MS-Outlook uses PST files to store all information of user account. I already brief out user about MS-Outlook and PST files in my previous post.

 I am a MAC user and using Outlook2011 as email application. Mac-Outlook 2011 is also a good application to use but sometime this application put me in trouble. Mac-Outlook2011 does not support for Rich Text Format messages. These messages are delivered in form of Winmail.dat attachments. There are few more issues I am facing while working with MAC-Outlook.
