How to Solve Outlook 2007 reported error (0x800CCC61)?

Recently, an outlook user sent a query on my blog related Outlook Error. In MS Outlook 2007 an error (0x800CCC61) occurs when sending email even the user have not change anything. Also there was an error message which says: ‘Your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server has reported an internal error, to continue to receive this message, contact server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)’.

Select Tools and click Account Settings: 


Highlight your email account and click Repair


Click Close and retry Send/Receive




If this doesn't work, go back to Tools, Account Settings again and try the following:

• Highlight your email account and click Change.
• Click on More Settings and select the Outgoing Server tab.
• Select my outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
• Select Log in to incoming mail server before sending mail.
• Click Next and Finish.

This way you can easily overcome with this Error 0x800CCC61. In case your error still remains the same then check the remaining settings in Outlook including the Username/Password and SSL settings.
